My chalet at Boltons Beach, Little Swanport, will be available for long-term private writers' residencies of 3-12 months.
Cost is $220 per week. Two-four weeks bond is required. Preference will be given to writers who wish to stay longer.
The chalet is approximately 100 km from Hobart. Nearest towns are Triabunna (14km) and Swansea (44km). It is set on six acres and borders the Hermitage Lagoon, a transient wetland. The Boltons Beach Conservation area, a breeding ground for the rare hooded dotterel, is a quick step over a stile.
There are view of the Freycinet Peninsula, Schouten Island and Isle des Phoques from the upper balcony. Whales and dolphins can occasionally be seen off-shore. Echidnas, wallabies and pademelons are frequent visitors to the property.
The cottage has electricity and internet connection and is on tank water.
